so im currently unmedicated and doing much better than i was medicated. i weaned off medication after years and now i switched to medical flowers since i dont know if the real term is allowed here. i find that im not enjoying smoking as much anymore and its extremely costly and my tolerance is high… however i still need something to help regulate me and im not sure how unstable id be without it. ive tried weening off before and i was pretty successful but i am never able to stop fully before i have something that makes me need to. honestly i used to be told by doctor that my mental issues were incurable and that id need medication for my whole life and so the fact im way healthier without makes me scared to try it again so im looking towards natural methods ive taken mushrooms to help me with my outlook on life and thats been pretty successful and now i take ashwaganda supplements too. but i still do get pretty anxious and that leads to panic attacks which when i was on medication and years ago was when i would frequently lash out worse so i dont like getting in that state.

i was on zoloft from 13-19, and wellbutrin (and zoloft at the same time) for a few months at 18. then trintellix and latuda from 19-20. i’m 21 now and go unmedicated, but i don’t feel as if i need any medications. i’ve been off trintellix and latuda since august 2021 and i lost almost 100 lbs since then. the zoloft wasn’t working anymore, wellbutrin never worked, but trintellix did. latuda made me more numb than anything (antipsychotic acted as a mood stabilizer for me). i’m happy that i no longer have to take medication but it was an 8 year journey! the way i’ve been coping with no medication is that i’ve learned to spot when i’m having an episode and talk myself down. it’s a lot harder than i thought but i’m always successful! i also take part in flower but not for mental health, i have arthritis :(

tbh get a dog. or any animal. my pup helps me so much when i feel anxious and she is a chihuahua which is a very very loyal breed so she’s become my ESA and she can recognize when i’m upset or anxious and help me through it

Hey!! Idk if you know anything about non-psychedelic mushrooms and herbs, they’re called adaptogens. I literally don’t know what I would do without them. With some research, you can discover which ones would be most helpful for you :) I personally like ashwaghanda because of its mellowing affects.
