It’s Sunday right now and I have 5 assignments due at midnight tonight. But I’m just stuck doing nothing because I’m so overwhelmed by everything I have to do and I also have a test Wednesday that I have to study for and I also need to do laundry. And before I do anything I need to clear off my desk. There are just so many things on my mind I feel like everything is impossible. Can anyone else relate or have any tips to make it feel possible?
no girlllll dead ass this is me rn i have school tomorrow i have 3 missing assignments 4 things for homework then i have work today at 4:30 then i have to clean my room and finish an order for someone - it’s so overwhelming so i just haven’t started bc i don’t know where to start
then if i do start my hw takes like 4 hrs bc adhd
Yesss that’s part of it too, I don’t want to spend the next 10 hours doing homework!!!
You actually just helped me though I opened my computer and I’m going to start the assignment for the class I’m failing right now haha, maybe you could start with the one that is worth the most points or is the most fun
For me I make a list, put on music, and with some push of will I start my stuff. Marking things off the list as I go really helps a lot.
I just graduated college- yes, i actually made it through! something i started doing was delegating specific times for tasks or short goals. Write essay for 30 minutes, then hang up 5 shirts. Do other assignment for 5 minutes. Then maybe unload just the plates and bowls in the dishwasher.
It really helped me because i could kind of visualize a meter in my head saying "This task is 20% complete'
@__ i officially have only 1 missing assignment now but still tonight is gonna be rough with hw
I can relate!!! This is my brain most days! Start slow - move things from your desk, but don’t get stuck putting stuff away just move it elsewhere. It makes sense to start laundry before assignments, so it’s going while you study. Then do 1st assignment, take a timed break - watch a short tv show, color, go for a walk. Then do 2nd assignment. Make small goals - one step or 10/20/30 minute intervals. It’s always easier said than done, but it feels good when you can check something off the list. Writing a list can help me visualize what needs to be done and prioritize what’s needs to be prioritized. Also, caffeine, talking to a friend, something that energizes you
