Hey y’all. Does anyone with POTs get periods of chest pain during their period? Or in general? Like it feels like your chest wall muscles are burning? And it kind of moves around to different Muscles. Also in your legs? It’s been happening for a few days and I want to make sure I’m not crazy.

100%. The whole reason I finally got diagnosed was I kept having episodes where it felt like I was having a full on heart attack- tachycardia, chest pain, pain down left arm, difficulty speaking/breathing. Whole nine yards.

Thank you so much for responding! My Mom is a cardiac nurse and she has been trying to talk me down about it because I don’t have many actual symptoms. I needed to hear this from someone who has the same thing

all the cardiac nurses at the ER treated me the same way. It is affecting your heart, but you aren't in any danger. That helped me to learn. It is your heart that you're feeling. But during the really bad spikes all you can do is play down and stay calm. Breathe through it and wait for your HR to drop again.

Sleeping propped up on pillows, drinking a lot of water, increasing my sodium intake by a lot. I have an emergency jar of salted nuts in my car for syncope episodes.

Yes all the time. My boyfriend just makes me take a deep breath for a couple minutes and it usually goes away on its own, but in the meantime it's ridiculously painful
