I'm struggling with gender dysphoria at the moment, anyone know how to help?

I usually do something nice for myself! Put on clothes that are really comfy, or that make me happy, talk to other queer people, or idk consume some form of queer media

Yeah, it’s a long and slow process to really make it better, and unfortunately the feeling never really lessens (I haven’t medically transitioned yet so I’m not speaking for anyone who has), you just learn not to let it bother you too much. If there’s something gender affirming you can do when it gets especially bad that can help to balance it out a bit—for example I’m trans-masc, so I might ruffle my short hair or glance at my binded chest (I have a small chest so it’s almost completely flat with a binder). Even something small can help you remember your own assurance of who you are, which makes gender dysphoria more bearable.

@TaetaeRyn agreed x1000. I'm nonbinary but I dress very femme + have a very curvy figure so many people perceive me differently than I want to be / see myself. But like you said, something small can help you remember your own assurance of who you are. I have a lot of items (mugs, pins, shirts, stickers) that have they/them, trans & nb flags, etc and using those, even if it's just at home some days makes me really happy

I personally wear baggy clothes when it is bad and curl up under lots of blankets on my bed and listen to music. Doesn't solve the problem at all but makes it slightly more bearable.

Are you trans masc or trans fem?

@ThunderBeetle Oh duh... Your name says you're an enby.
