Sometimes that happens. Usually it's because the symptoms are aggravated by the drugs. That doesn't mean that the problem isn't real, just that it hasn't manifested yet in sober life. Other times, it's directly due to one's state of mind. Ideally, you should avoid stress and keep track of symptoms. Hope this helps.

No... unfortunately I was born this way. šŸ˜„ However, I can understand some of what you're going through. I was misdiagnosed as bipolar 1. The meds made me worse. Now, my new meds help.šŸ¤— it's hard to be classed as one diagnosis when there's something else going on. My best advice is that if you want to get off meds, do so gradually. Make sure you can deal with the consequences of being at each step, and that you don't find that the diagnosis is actually right. Good luck.

@faerywyrm thanks for replying. I've gotten off a few meds gradually and I've done well with it. It's just that I've switched doctors and we were discussing my diagnosis and I realized that my situations, symptoms etc have almost completely changed or disappeared in some catagories since I've gotten sober.
