TW: discussion of eating problems I dont think its an eating disorder at least if it is it my rheumatologist hasn't seen any big issues with it. I've had issues with eating where I'm just not hungry at all or nothing sounds appetizing. I will still eat at least 2 meals a day. Normally I have some safe foods that will get me to eat at least something but for the past two days those haven't been working. yesterday I had actually figured out what I wanted to eat and then found out my dad threw it out(not related to me wanting to eat it he threw it out the night before and didn't ask anyone first) and that happend at breakfast so I just wasn't really hungry for the rest of the day. Then today is the day after I take methotrexate which I'm normally not very hungry on this day but I guess some of what happend yesterday carried over to today because I was less hungry then normal. Does anyone have some suggestions for what to do? or can you share your safe food or an easy meal to make so I can have some more ideas. Thank you in advance!

Do you think you have a texture/ taste problem? My safe foods change a lot as I have autism but currently I love the gingerbread from Waitrose lol, tomato and basil pasta, crepes are often good, I love a crunchy bread dipped in vinegar, home made guac so just avocado tomato and some lemon with salt and pepper to have with Doritos, there’s a lot of good recipes on hello fresh where you don’t have to sign up with them you can just look at their recipes for ideas like chillis are my favourite! I’ve enjoyed sushi recently too, and fruit like mango and kiwis, I’d actually recommend watching some comforting cooking videos as that can help make food more appetising there’s this guy Alvin Zhou his videos are really comforting and make eating less overwhelming for me also if you’re close to your family please tell them how you struggle with this so they can support you and know not to throw things out without asking next time etc I told my parents how I struggle with food and my mums helped a lot more since then helping get foods I like and understanding when I get overwhelmed

Eating disorders are usually paired with a control mentality. Controlling calorie intake, weight, what time of day you eat, with who, where. But eating disorders can also be self punishment or self harm through food. People who have a history of other types of s.h. have more of a chance of this. That disappointment you felt with the missing food, is a branch of this. To not be hungry is different than to not be appeased by food at all.

I don't know what you like but have you tried breakfast smoothies. There are all kinds of recipes online or just grab the carnation breakfast powder a banana and 16 oz of milk put in a blender blend until smooth. Put in a glass and drink up.
