I have IBS and I also happen to have really bad periods. Of course everything is blamed on my period and the IBS is invalidated. My IBS symptoms also flare up something awful about a week before and during my period. My mom has said that “every third period is just worse”. Is this true for anybody else? Is every third period more painful, heavy, and just in general worse?
