Depression does not qualify. I did a huge study on them for my degree. It’s usually people with chronic illnesses who are already older: cancers, autoimmune diseases, etc. They do a mental health test and make you see psychiatrists beforehand. You cannot do it if you have any depression.
It’s basically to let people go peacefully in their own time vs. having to suffer a lengthy death from their illness.
