Hello all. Social anxiety sucks. It prevents me from being in places with lots of people. Crowds, like concerts.
I have social anxiety too, one way I deal with it is that I challenge myself. My boyfriend also helps. He will always tell me he has a challenge for me. A few weeks ago, we went out to an arcade bar on a Saturday night, so it was very crowded. I started having an anxiety attack and so instead of parking the car I drove off, but I wanted to challenge myself so I just took some deep breaths and parked the car and didn’t even think about it I just got out of the car and walked in. I was fine as soon as I walked in the doors. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but we just went again a few days ago and it was easier. It’s not easy to do, but you feel very accomplished after it and proud of yourself. :)
