any advice on fighting off dizziness? I start a new job tomorrow and the only thing I could get was an order taker for fast food, so I won't be able to sit down for the first while. I know from my old job that my medication lets me be up and about for a prolonged amount of time, but that was a cooled environment with me walking around. I've never tried just standing in one place for a long period of time, and because it's fast food I know it's going to be hot.

Drink lots of water, get a personal fan, worse case scenario eat fries loaded up with salt.

I would consider asking to be put on some more medication if youā€™re open to that idea. Iā€™m on midodrine right now and I barely get dizzy anymore, but medicines work differently for different people. Also stay hydrated, take salt or salt tablets, wear compression socks. Maybe flex your leg muscles and kind of walk in place to get your blood flowing. You may be able to ask for a stool or something Iā€™ve never had a full time job but they may do accommodations like that

It helps me to make sure my knees are locked and even casually leaning a little on the counter a little to take some of your weight. I wear long socks and have heard compression socks and/ or tights help with the blooding pooling in our legs. When working at a restaurant, I always drank water before any type of other drink I wanted. Stay very hydrated. Good luck!
