I try to remember all the techniques I’ve been taught in therapy like mindfulness or just breathing deeply. If I can’t, I try to talk about it on my next session
I stop myself by using grounding techniques, I stop trying to figure out everything on earth, do some deep breathing techniques and then handle ONE thing at a time. You may think you can’t, I assure you you can. Be gentle with yourself.
