I have been experiencing increasing pain over the past couple of months and am not sure why. it feels different than my usual 'fibro' pain, this is now constant at at least a level 4, and generally spikes to a 7 or 8 at night. My current pain meds are not helping.,and my current rheumatologist, whom I have been working with since 2014, doesn't seem to be listening to me anymore, so I am trying to get a referral to a new rheumatologist. There have been several times in the past 2 weeks that I take all available pain meds at once, which are 100mg Ansaid, 1300mg Tylenol, 100mg Tramadol, and 10mg of Flexaril...and it does absolutely nothing for the pain and then I have nothing else available for the rest of the night. I stay up watching Tik Tok to distract from the pain and end up getting no sleep. I haven't slept well in days. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with me having Covid in January? Or is this something other than Fibromyalgia? My rheumatologist says my increased pain coincided with me going off my psych meds in April, which is true to an extent, but nothing I was on was for pain. I was taking Trintellix, Lamictal, and Latuda. He wants me to talk to my psychiatrist about going back on meds, but I did that route for 30 years and they were never really helpful for me, and there are so many side effects. I want to find other ways to treat my pain. I even looked into going non-dairy, because I read that helps, but after a week it didn't seem to make any difference, I was still in just as much pain, and everything I like to eat is dairy related so it wasn't really sustainable for me. I hated the non-dairy ice creams lol. I am at a loss, and I have no real friends for support which doesn't help, there's nobody to get together with to help distract from the pain. I live alone, except for my 2 cats....I don't know what I would do without them.
