my therapist told me something I didn't think about before last session. she said "depression is usually caused by holding on anger with people more then sadness" she asks me who I'm angry with and I'm angry at people who hurt me in the past bit more with myself.. going to need to get better at that
Yes. I was told the same. My therapist described it as anger turned inward. That was fitting for me. I still struggle with expressing anger, but I've made progress.
That makes sense too for me because I do have alot of anger built up. I just don't speak on it I just keep it bundled up inside.
