✋Absolutely!
Depends on if I can keep my hands busy. If my hands are on auto pilot it is easy to just escape to my music. Distractions have been key for me.
Ultimately the only way to gain control of your thoughts is through meditation. The brain is a muscle. As you work it more and more, it gets stronger and stronger until you can turn your thoughts off, or only think about what you want to think about. I'm more than happy to help you get started! I've still got to practice everyday, and my ADHD makes that hard sometimes, but it gets better. Feel free to message me if I can help you more. 🙌❤️
Sometimes
I also have comfort shows I watch as well. Like Noragami, Avatar the last Airbender, Supernatural.
@Ambit0728 my husband always has to have the TV on. He says it helps with his racing thoughts.
Yes AND no. It completely depends on the music and the mood i am in when i am listening to it. Depressing songs when im depressed are a recipe for disaster but its what I flock to like a moth to a flame... Making myself listen to happy music during a depressive state helps but is hard
@Fire101 I go with Linkin Park a lot
@Ambit0728 I ❤️❤️❤️ linkin park!!! But I will not listen to their new music. After Chester died it kinda offended me they kept the band name the same and replaced him like he was nothing.
I use music to help me with my anxiety and depression almost every day
Sometimes it does, but sometimes it leans me further into them. I have maladaptive daydreams and sometimes if I'm fixated on a peculiar thought and the right song comes on, I find myself falling into one and spending up to several hours entrenched in a fantasy revolving around that thought, whether it's good or bad.

Every single day

Sometimes, other times it just helps me process the thoughts and feelings I have

Sometimes it helps, sometimes it just makes the noise louder
@Finches_Wishes I agree with this! But sometimes the noise helps me process and get my feelings out
