does anybody have any tips for keeping up with basical hygiene as a person with depression ? ex. brushing teeth, regular showers, etc.
This is something I struggle with. Just doing one thing at a time, at my own pace, and reminding myself of how good I will feel once it is done helps some. If I don’t have the capacity to both brush my teeth and wash my face, sometimes I have to pick just one for the moment. It can be really hard. I’m sorry you have to deal with it. ❤️
I tend to get pretty hung up on the brushing teeth thing. What helped me was realizing you don’t have to brush for a specific amount of time, a specific way. Sometimes it’s just easier to not use toothpaste. Sometimes shorter is better than nothing.
