I like this site. Been dealing with anxiety most of my life. Seems to follow me. Anyone have GAD, panic attacks and high anxiety?

My anxiety cuts through me like a knife. It can get so bad. Panic attacks GAD. Anxiety is such an awful feeling. We all understand. Right now I’ve been doing alright since I stopped going to therapy!

I have GAD and Panic Attack Disorder but it's something I feel like I have a good hold on at this point in my life which is refreshing

Yes, I’ve always had anxiety/anxious moments but around 2-3 months ago I started having anxiety/ panic attacks and have been dealing with the long list of symptoms that come with it.

Got formally diagnosed with GAD right before the start of Covid. Thank goodness! Starting daily medication changed my life. I no longer dry heave every morning before work or when I have to drive. Or wake up in the middle of the night to do dishes. I am still anxious, my dr said that’s just how I’m wired, I’m a worrywart. But it’s at a much more manageable level now.

Anxiety is the worst. My life has had a lot of trauma. But not now. I think my body is conditioned to be on high alert and it doesn’t know any other way.

Yes absolutely! I have a lot of trauma in my life but personally I think my panic disorder and GAD are attributed to a chemical imbalance. I used to get disabling panic attacks around 10 times a day to where it was difficult to leave home. I’ve been treated for 4 years now and never looked back at them 🤗

Hello! I have GAD and suffer from extreme anxiety especially health related anxiety. It feels like no one understands other than others who suffer from anxiety. I have been taking medication for years. I am currently taking Lexipro.
