CBT/DBT classes helped me alot with controlling my emotions. They helped me "retrain my brain" to respond differently to certain situations. Honestly, I would not be where I am in my recovery without it.
I'm trying exercise for now .. and for my being out of shape... That just boils down to just walking. A mile a day and I have to cut that into small increments to reach that goal. Maybe soon I'll get a mile in all at once! 🤷🏻♀️

@MyzDefy I'm obese, type 2 diabetic, and a host of other medical issues. I totally understand doing small increments. My psych told me "it doesn't matter how fast or how far you walk. What matters is that you are moving." That helped me a lot. I still can't walk very far, due to back pain. Then of course there's the fact that I injure easily. 🙄 Right now I am not able to do much at all because I sprained my knee. UGH.
I had to get on an antidepressant at age 30 because I had lost both parents too young. I also taking anxiety medication. You can try natural if you don’t like taking medication. I also feel my psychologist helps me.
@Mama_Bear In my 65 years I've pretty much tried them all and none ever seemed to help me. I'm glad you found something. I'd love to see a therapist on a regular basis but every one my ins covers is over booked. It's crazy out here! I'm just trying to walk and get healthier because physically I'm a mess too! 🤣 I got to start somewhere 🤷🏻♀️
