Has anyone performed GeneSight to determine which medications treat their particular type of depression? It started for me when I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, but now it’s just MDD. For a while, another psychiatrist said that I was bipolar II. This current psychiatrist thinks I have MDD and GAD. That best fits my symptoms. I’ve tried all kinds of antidepressants, including bupropion XL, citalopram, sertraline, fluoxetine, duloxetine, venlafaxine, and most recently Trintellix . Either the medication helps temporarily or not at all. I’ve been working harder on therapy. All of these medications have nasty side-effects. Some of them make my symptoms worse (Crohn’s).
