Would u take a day off or two if u knew someone you cared about would kill themself? Not in a “oh attention seeker” but you knew they felt this way for so long, and have communicated this may be the last opportunity?

@Tofu14 lmfao um hospitals dont work for everyone especially depending on area. If work is more important then taking time off to help the mother of your children for once, then your just as messed up.

You need to make sure that they don’t die, but taking time off work may not be the answer. Do you think that they would be hostile to you being there, try to kill themselves when you are sleeping or when they are using the bathroom, etc? Do they need some professional therapy or med adjustments. You may not be the right person to provide that. If you are worried about any of those things, hospital might be the better place for them. Do you think this is something that will pass in a day or two, or is this going to be a bit longer? If any of those are true, they might need hospital instead of someone to just be with them, but if you think just not being alone would do the trick them absolutely take time off. I know that it can feel intimidating or you might be worried that they will not want to be in your life anymore, but I think at some point they will come to appreciate that you were there for them and made sure they would live. You sound like a really good friend!

I would honestly because a couple days of missed work is worth not losing them for an entire lifetime.
