hi. just joined. COVID left me with the long-term gift of CHF. it appears my many autoimmune diseases helped in the process. i am just trying to balance living life with being afraid of every symptom that might come up. any advice on that would be helpful

Yes one day at a time is the only way I get through the fear of having more than one chronic illness, and the fact that I watched my mom suffer the last 10 yrs of her life then die at 68 yrs old really put me in a panic, but I can only do my best to do things differently ( better) than she did and take each day as another chance to learn from her mistakes

I got chf after the birth of my son 2 years ago. I'm kind of in the same boat, I'm fearful that if I slack off on my diet or exercise, I will have heart failure again. I try to take it one day at a time and be happy that I'm alive to watch my children grow

Hello dear friend as far as not being afraid of every symptom I'm not sure what I could say that would help the only thing I can tell you I said I have personally made a decision to not live in fear. I will go with my expiration arrives no matter what so I just try to live each day as if I have I'm in this number of days. As for the physical symptoms for me it usually happens with exertion walking too far going upstairs pushing myself too far when I know I should sit down I feel elevated heart rate and extreme shortness of breath and sometimes chest pain and I have learned that pacing myself and accepting my limitations helps a lot harvest when I need to and I know when to quit it doesn't stop me from doing things that I love it just means I have to do them differently and a lot of times slower than I'd like LOL I know this was a bit long-winded but I hope my words help in some way
