What's it like being Deaf? Any Deaf Parents here?

I was born hard of hearing but after a surgery on my left ear after getting a severe ear infection that lasted 4 months I lost all my hearing in my left ear my right ear has severe hearing loss but with the use of a bone conduction hearing aid I can hear some not a lot I can’t hear on the phone I rely heavily on reading lips I’m a single woman with no children my family never learned sign language so I really rely on hearing what I do and reading lips
