Hi, I'm new to the app. I have a lot of problems with producing and controlling my bowel movements. I also have extreme anxiety, which doesn't help my problem. I've had this issue for about two years, and I want it to end. I have to miss certain events because I get sick so often. Any advice?

I was the same, and I was diagnosed with IBS. I'd recommend seeing a doctor, and then that way they can help you from there.
You might have irritable bowel syndrome. See a gastroenterologist For diagnosis and treatment. Good luck.

A: Anxiety can be a significant trigger for IBS symptoms. Some suggestions include maintaining a food journal to identify specific triggers, managing stress, and staying hydrated. You may also consider talking to your doctor about fast-acting anxiety medications or IBS medications to help reduce gastrointestinal issues. Additionally, following the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast) can help with diarrhea.
