Medication’s that I take I still go to the bathroom and sit down mostly of the day some days I’m fine how to control it. I tried all kinds of stuff that does not work and there’s lots of food that I cannot eat or hold it in. Having call them rectal cancer took a lot of my life away. I am free to go out to dinner unless my stomach is totally empty where I could hold it in, so what can I do?

Hi, I am familiar with this problem intimately. After my surgery, it was also very difficult for me and I had to be near toilets all the time. What helped me was a consultation with my surgeon and the gastroenterologist. Everything has a solution. Starting with a dietary change with a dietician, through drugs that can slow down digestion, to surgical solutions such as a stoma, which I personally preferred to avoid for the time being. Did you consult with your doctors? Have you been to a dietician?

  @Jack38 thank you so much I done all that I am taking a prescription lol Moto it’s a OPM slows down the gut don’t have much of control of my rectum can’t hold heavy food down. I am a vegan now some days I do great some days I am on the toilet most of the day I wish there was a better way to control the muscles. I wish I could get a new rectum muscle, which I don’t have much it was cut out.
