Ugh. My left/knee/feet pain is getting worse at the end of work shift. I'm going to have to invest in mobility aids and get over my anxiety of using my cane in public and just start bringing with me out Incase I need it. But I get so anxious whenever I take it. I feel like I look like I'm faking it because I don't always need to rely on it.

I use a walking stick. I try to tell myself if other's are judging that says more about them than it does me and then I try and focus on the positives I gain from using it. It's also funky pink as I like bright colours and it feels more my style. I get it though as my health is getting worse to the point I might need to use a walker with a seat and that makes me feel anxious but I will tell myself the same as I do with the walking stick.

I completely understand this. Most people at my work don't even know I use a mobility aid. The anxiety when you 1st get used to using it in public can be difficult, but it's so worth the relief in the long run. Good luck!

One of the replies mentioned, "Don't feel bad for needing it somedays and not other days." It's important to prioritize your comfort and well-being over what others may think. Using a mobility aid when needed can help you manage your pain and maintain your independence.
