Does anybody else with DID try to sort of pretend it doesn’t exist? Like, personally I never try to keep track with who’s in front or anything because 1. I’m disorganized as fuck, and 2. I really just don’t feel a need to. Now, I’d actually love to be able to keep track/have motivation to care, but I just don’t. Does anybody else have trouble coming up with motivation to really pay attention to system matters? Does anybody have any possible tips? Maybe it’s just because I’m a very tired, busy person. Either way, I’d love to hear if anybody else experienced this or something similar.

Although it’s unfortunate, I’m really glad to hear that I’m not the only one. I’m sorry that you can’t be “all of you” :(

That’s true. I think part of why I’m so unmotivated to really pay attention to what’s going on in the system is because it’s so draining keeping up with it all, at least it has been for us anyway.

it’s hard because you’re essentially a whole group of different people with different personalities and interests forced to live in one body, one lifetime, sharing your 24 hr days. there’s never enough time to truly be yourself
i’ve been there and i’ve been both. When i was 17-18 I was *super* into my system and tracked everyone and everything and it was really helpful but I didn’t have school or a job and ever since I’ve started being an *adult* I just haven’t had the motivation, time or energy and I know my system suffers for it. i think part of it too is that I used to be in a DID community that i’m just not in anymore and i have a partner that i live with and while he is supportive and understanding he doesn’t quite *get it* so i don’t feel comfortable being *all of me* that was part of my motivation for posting on here: finding other systems to talk to again
