I have a fear of not eating enough and I’m a bit of an emotional eater. Anytime I feel shaky, have tingling lips, or irritated; I immediately feel like I have to eat. Is this normal or just psychosomatic?

    It could be psychosomatic, or you could be having very real blood sugar dips. Eat a healthy diet of frequent small meals so you can reassure yourself that you are taking care of your body when you feel this way. Try monitoring your blood sugar with diabetic blood sugar reading kit to see if that's what's going on. I used to feel this way when stressed and I found out I was hyperventilating and overbreathing without knowing. It can cause tingling in the face/lips, lightheadedness, numbness/tingling in extremities, cramping and locking hands, chest tightness, and weakness/muscle spasms. I recommend looking into Dr. Konstantin Buteyko and the "Buteyko Breathing Technique". It focuses on how overbreathing can negatively affect our mind and body and how to breathe properly.

    I would suggest talking to a few different types of doctors. Neuro, psychologist, even a dermatologist just to see if they can tell you anything.

    I am very much the same way I feel better after I eat. I think it's blood pressure or possibly sugar

    I would check blood sugar when this happens if ur sugar is between 85 and 100 I would not recommend eating n try to breath through it. Some of these symptoms could be related to your anxiety
