I have had Hashimotos for a few years and recently got diagnosed with Graves. I have been told that it is too complicated to manage both simultaneously and am considering total thyroidectomy. I am curious how others are doing after total thyroidectomy, in terms of quality of life - once you find the correct thyroid medication dose, how is your quality of life? Do you still have issues with fatigue and hair loss etc?

I have graves disease since 2005, for the most part I am stabilized taking Synthroid 100 mcg. But I still have ups and downs with my heart rhythm, hair loss and fatigue. I think fatigue is my biggest problem I am very low on energy no matter what I do. I get enough sleep, I take vitamins and I still get fatigued. This disease is not curable we just have to maintain it and do our best to stay afloat.
