Started wellbutrin for mood stabilizing and ADHD. Does well for mood, not ADHD. Still want to reduce ADHD symptoms. Thoughts?

      It’s good for helping with ADHD even though it’s an B antidepressant because both depression and ADHD have to do with unstable levels of dopamine i am pretty sure

      I first was on Prozac, but after a while, and started feeling a little too depressed. I heard from a nurse from another appointment she took WellButerin. She said it took the edge off for the Prozac she took. It took a little while, but I love it now. I take it every morning.

        @Tracks If you are using Prozac for anxiety, I would assume it turned all that extra energy into positive energy. Wellbutrin would not, for the life of me, let me think negatively about myself or beat myself up haha. Just a guess from experience. Do tell me if i'm wrong

          @Brooke2024 I just know that it made me feel better… with the amount of Prozac I was taking. Without the Wellbutrin, I was feeling more depressed. I’m not sure how much I take at the moment I forgot the dosages between Prozac, and it.

      That was the first and only medication I took for ADHD. Very good for happy mood. Good mood very much helps with motivation but unfortunately I was still not motivated enough to overcome my executive function issues. I could get out of bed and think more positively about certain situations (treated depression) but I was still failing classes and behind in areas of my life and development. I can't say anything bad about it, except it wasn't what I was looking for.

      I just take Wellbutrin for counter acting my Prozac. I love it.

      1- i use focalin for my ADHD and it helps me so maybe consider that? idk 2- pay attention when ur on wellbutrin!! it is known for triggering tic and seizure disorders, even in ppl that those disorders are latent/ undetected in, and that really fucked me up lol

        @Alux It did get me really high. Kinda like I was too happy. When I first took it, I was so afraid I'd get a seizure with no one to help me so I would lie on my stomach and put a pillow over my head until the high was over

        @Alux obviously with anything for adhd discuss with ur psychiatrist i just found focalin works for me
