Hello everyone, I’m so happy to have found this group! I have so many questions, but the main one is whether or not anyone here has been dealing with Lyme disease for a long time and whether you have found any one particular thing to be most helpful? I was diagnosed in 2016.

I also always advocate for looking into naturopathy! It helped my family A LOT and has much less downsides than traditional antibiotics! Definitely worth researching! I also just recommend doing research in general, there are a lot of resources out there for lyme if you look in the right places!

My Lymes and coinfections were undiagnosed for 11 years and 6 weeks of doxycycline followed by 6 months of the Cowden Protocol helped me a LOT. You can get it online

Thank you again for responding to me, and you are very helpful – and sometimes it’s just nice to know that we are not alone! I’m really sorry that you’re still in the moldy house. I ended up being in mine for nearly 2 years before I could get out for financial reasons, and I had an awful landlord. I do think that I have detoxed from that, but I’ve never tried more than a fairly low dose of vitamin C. Any particular brand that you use? I will look into that. I hope your next appointment goes very well for you!

I found a great doctor recommended by a friend. But you’re right, there aren’t a lot of them. Unfortunately, I’m still living in the moldy house (that’s another long subject) and we haven’t started detox yet. I see her next week and we may start then. I’ll let you know! One of her first suggestions was vitamin C- LOTS of vitamin C. It helped so much with a lot of symptoms immediately! I started to gain weight after 2 solid years of steady weight loss. (I was down to 93 lbs when I saw her in December. Up to 108 today 🙌)

Thank you so much, Beth for your message. I’m so sorry that you have to go through Lyme as well, but glad that you were able to get some treatment. I also had done about 12 weeks of antibiotics when I was first diagnosed in 2016, but still had many symptoms afterwards. Because I don’t test positive anymore, most doctors don’t want to do anything for me. I had been living in a house that had mold, but moved out of there two years ago and was treated for that as well, although it’s hard to find someone who really knows what they’re doing with that also. Are you being treated for mold? I’m curious about detoxing methods as well. I hope you have a great day!
Hi Sheila! I’m new to Lymes, sorry I don’t have any advice. I contracted Lymes last summer. (I was already an autoimmune train wreck ;) did the big long course of antibiotics and was told it was “curative” But I still have symptoms occasionally, so I’m questioning the “curative” claim. I was recently diagnosed with mold exposure sickness. In my research, there seems to be a lot of info/overlap between Lymes and mold exposure. Something to look into maybe 🤷♀️
For me the biggest help was vitamin D, vit C, Magtaurate and calcium EAP. GOOD LUCK!
I’m not currently working with a doctor as the one that I had has retired. Please don’t feel like you need to tell me everything, I think I was really just looking for maybe one or two main things that you feel are most helpful. I really appreciate this very much!
Ok but it's a lot. My lyme dr put me on a vitamin routine to get my body to start methylating. Are you working with a good doc?
Yes, I do definitely keep in mind that what is helpful for one may not be for another, but it feels like I’m a merry go round trying all different things without quite coming up with the right formula“ for me. If you’d like to share anything, that would be wonderful because it might kickstart some ideas for me too. Thank you!
Everyone is different. I'm happy to tell you what helped me, but sadly, that doesn't mean it will help you.
I've been dealing with this for 15yrs and the doctors still don't know how to help
