Crippling imposter syndrome. Anyone else experience this in their professional life, how do you deal with it? I've been feeling incredibly discouraged lately, feeling like I'm too unstable to continue my PhD or work in industry.
One thing that helps me is to remember that it’s okay to not know everything about your field of study and that’s okay. Have quick access to reliable resources and continue to grow your knowledge. I’ve been in healthcare for twenty years and occasionally have to tell patients or family members “ I am not familiar, not sure, etc.. let me check my resources. I find it actually builds trust because you are recognizing your limitations and then follow through. Hope this helps.
