How do I prepare to go swimming at a public pool? My condition has gotten progressively worse so I have a few large open wounds on and around my armpits. Is it safe to swim and how do I prevent getting my wounds infected?
I still go swimming with open wounds but other wise I don’t have a compromised immune system. I would recommend putting on some antibiotic cream a few hours before you go swimming then shower after with antibacterial soap then put on more antibiotic cream once you’ve dried off with a clean towel. I’ve never had problems swimming but that’s just my experience.
