I have fibromyagia and have been trying to work out what works for me and what dosnt but also have realistic expectations within my own limitations. I was put on Duloxetine 30 then put up to 60 about 3 or 4 months ago as my pain and fatigue were having a real impact on my life. does anyone have any experience with this medication or with fibromyagia and what works for them in relation to mental health and physical pain? thank you for reading this and please feel free to ask me anything and I will share my experience x

I’m on 90mg of duloxetine, but not sure if it helps me much, but hot water bottles and tens machines can help quite a bit

I only have a minute right now, but I'll go into more detail later. But for now, it took me about 2 years to figure out what worked for me and what triggered flare-ups. The best piece of advice I got and the inner thing I've learned most is that this disease is related to our emotional state and stress levels (obviously there are physical sides to this and it is a medical issue too). The more relaxed and low stressed you are the less your disease will impact your life. It takes time to recognize what this disease is to you, how it'll effect you what cause your triggers or flare-ups, etc., but it is something you can learn to manage and get a grip on. Have faith in yourself and above all else remember: Progress NOT Perfection!!!!

I am also on 60mg duloxetine for fibromyalgia. I am also on 4mg of Tizanidine twice a day. Duloxetine helps both with the mental and physical aspects of chronic pain. It helps relax the nerves and helps soothe feelings of depression and blah. It helps to even out the anxiety as well. My mental health issues are more complex and require more meds, but I know the duloxetine is helpful to an extent. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
