Hi- my name is Allie, and I'm a chronic health issue struggler ("HI, Allie."). I struggle with lots of conditions (and have for a while), and can usually push them aside for the most part (or make it work by a miaracle of sorts). Mental health/health issues cost me 2 jobs and almost cost me countless more, along with numerous relationships. No one really gets it, and how I'm impacted and how literally nothing works for me, and how most of my conditions are deemed treatment resistant. I'm looking forward to talking to people who actually understand the struggle is real.

Hi Allie, I can relate to alot of what your saying. I haven't been able to work in almost 6 years and don't know if I could go back to work right now. I feel fairly stable right now not working, but know that stability would fly out the window if I tried to take on a job. I also have no friends except for a small group of women I know from a bi-polar group I'm a part of. Most people don't understand the internal pressure we're under or the intensity we feel and experience when triggers and anxiety are present. It's exhausting and frustrating having to do the work of trying to maintain our equilibrium along with all of the everyday living life stressors we all have to face. If only other peoples empathy and anxiety could be cranked up for a day to walk a mile in our shoes. Let me know if you'd like to chat.

Hi, Allie! I absolutely understand this struggle. I have never stayed at a job for more than a year. I explode irrationally a lot, quit on whims and am always struggling to keep a job. Because of myself. It's definitely not ideal as a mom.. I always land on my feet and figure it out. But the cycle is vicious and exhausting.

@Hazel420 it really is. I manage to sort of work it out (last job was 9.5 years) but I have lots of health and mental health stuff that still causes me to take too much time off in general. People and places claim to promote wellness but they don't understand what exactly that means. I've been unemployed for 3.5 months and just started applying for a new job a few weeks ago because I literally couldn't get out of bed. I'm also tired of hearing how I'm just over-emotional and irrational because of it, because people just use that as a cop-out when I deal with their BS head-on all the time without complaint.
@Alliekatt Absolutely understand all of that. What's crazy is a lot of jobs these days actually ask if you have a disability upon hiring. Having crippling mental health issues as such, is a disability. So we either don't get hired because of it, OR get fired because they took a chance anyway and didn't follow through. Everyone says they understand but they really don't.
