I've been in pain 6 years after a quad accident. I feel it in the back of my neck, cranium area, and deep in the inner ears. It's a sometimes stabbing, burning, sharp aching pain that hurts every day. Some days way more than others to the point of not being able to move. Ibuprofen takes the edge off. I'm still looking for a permanent treatment, or to be fixed.

@Emzinpain Yes I’ve had degenerative disc disease for many years but I’ve lived with it but this young therapist who had me left a 25 pounds from my upper back when I was in there for my lower hip should’ve looked into my degenerative disc disease in my age almost 69 and not had me lift that now I have this occipital neuralgia headaches. I have an appointment for neurologist Tuesday I would love to get back to you guys and ask for more advice and listen to what’s happening to you guys we can learn from each other I do not want to get on an antidepressant for anything like that I only go on pharmaceuticals if I absolutely have to the sounds to me a little terrorizing lol

If nothing else has helped you. You may need surgery.
