My doctor recommended a low-acid diet for me while I heal (I also have gastritis), and I’ve been working with a naturopathic doc who recommended some homeopathy and a supplement called GastroMend. I also sleep with my head propped up on 2 pillows. All have been really helpful for me in addition to my medication!

@VeggieSandwichQueen just be careful with homeopathic drs...not say they are all like this but some of them just want your money and don't know as much as they say they do. I've seen a few myself. One of them was amazing and found something the other physicians didn't, however she had a physicians license. The ones without license have screwed me over a few times.
It helps if I didn't eat right before bed and if I avoid alot of night shade foods and fatty foods especially for supper. Lunch is always the best time to eat something "risky" don't eat too fast. Eat smaller meals more often. Drink plenty of water as well
