Advocating for Disability Rights: How to Overcome Ableism

i do!! i run a disabled self advocacy organization at my university, and am working toward a career in disability justice work

I'm trying to move from the science feild into the advocacy field professionally. There are local companies that are meant to help connect disabled people with resources they need. Right now I work at an addiction clinic who is very concerned with diversity and inclusion but haven't really considered disability as part of that moreso racial and LGBTQ issues so I'm using my current job to at least educate this company
