why do I try making friends they just leave anyway, I wish just for once one would stay or and this might be asking a lot come back into my life, my friends are who kept me less depressed and encouraged me through some rough parts of my life when I was in school but now I have no one.

I dont think I have friends anymore, just someone who doesn't want to be alone. They don't message me unless they need something. So it's whatever. Everyone always leaves me too. So if you want someone to talk to, I'm here. I'll be quiet and listen or chat ur ear off if you want.

Me too. Had to retire early from work due to a painful spinal disabilty in 1999. Miss all my workmates and friends and I get housebound most of the week which makes depressed so I can't get out to do things or meet new friends either. You could maybe try making new friends by going to college and learn something you're interested in also Facebook has groups for all types of health issues that can be very understanding and supportive too, and make new friends online too 😊

I feel this, I only have one friend. having friends leave is shit, but I promise you will find that one person who just gets it. it took me nearly 6 years and countless "friends" coming and going, but you will find that person you just click with. @hydroepilepic21 have you tried connecting on online communities about similar interests you have? I like reading, gaming and kpop and I'm in some Facebook groups for reading, twitter for kpop and reddit for gaming! i think it being online definitely helps my social anxiety, because if you're ever having a bad day you can just disconnect from it, there isn't that pressure like a face to face friendship that some people expect :)
