Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in my early 40's. I mainly had problems with pain and fatigue when I "over did it". I'm now 67 and it seems that after I hit 60, the fibro just went crazy and I now deal with pain and fatigue every day. Not to mention the Degenerative Disk Disease kicking in, as well. I work part-time at a dollar store cashiering mainly but have some stocking to do, too. By the time I get home, I can barely get out of the car and within 30 to 45 minutes I have to just lay down and let my body recoup. I'm fine as long as I keep moving, but once I stop, oh boy. I just start freezing up. Does anyone else deal with symptoms like this? What do you do to help relieve stiffness and body pain? Thanks.

Are you able to get physical therapy? A few sessions with a PT to get a good home program going might really help. I find a nice soak in a hot bath with Epsom salts help as well. You might try some gentle stretching during and after your shift at work to keep things from freezing up. I deal with the same plus major spinal issues so I understand!
