I'm having constant anxiety and I'm irritable almost every day. How do you cope with the edginess? I'm on medication for my anxiety but sometimes it feels like it doesn't work.

i feel you, my irritability is a nightmare. i get overstimulated in public easily, so i always have headphones in to either listen to music or just soften all the noise around me. other than that i try to take a good amount of time for myself to unwind and do some drawing or other hobbies. hot baths and showers are also a good way to try and reset your mood. it's hard though, those are just little things i do to try and help cause i haven't found a real solution 😔 i'm on anxiety meds that significantly help my anxiety, but they haven't done anything for my irritability. i hope you can find something that helps you though, you're not alone on this!!

CBD works well for my anxiety (its helps with all of my medical issues to be honest & ive got quite a few ). There are also things like CBT "cognitive behavior thearpy " that is wonderful, helpful and insightful. And maybe try some mindful meditation- you can find videos on YouTube

Beta blockers work better and are non addicting like alprazolam

Have you been on that medication for a while? You can, over time, build up a tolerance to your antianxiety medications. It sounds like your dose needs changing or a switch to a medication in the same category. Speaking from experience, I was on Lexapro for a few years and all of a sudden was very edgy. My psychiatrist switched me to Zoloft and I'm back to my old self.
