I just got it added to my Zoloft in summer ‘21. I do find it helps my focus a bit more. I got it added however to mitigate the libido issues that the Zoloft gives me. And it certainly does that! In my research, the slang calls it the “happy, h*rny, skinny pill”, since it can also help curb your appetite.

It has been a lifesaver for me. I am a much calmer, more patient person now. My anxiety almost had me unable to function daily.

It didn't help my GAD and gave me headaches.
Buspar is the first anxiolytic I ever took, when I was experiencing panic attacks in car rides following a car accident. It calmed my anxiety down in car rides but it wasn’t helping my anxiety triggered by other areas in my life (family, school)
I’ve been taking it twice a day for over a year. Basically as an additive to my normal SSRI. I don’t notice it much. But I do think my anxiety is more under control now than it has been in the past. So I think it helps. It’s one you notice if you stop. And supposedly easily tolerated.
buspar worked wonders for my anxiety (i have misophonia and generalized anxiety disorder) i stopped taking it due to medical trauma that’s completely unrelated to the medication (texture related), but it did increase my nightmares and make them more vivid. if i’d skip a number of days i’d feel dizzy and nauseous when retaking. prazosin helped with my nightmares.
I’ve been taking buspirone for just over a year now and I really love it. I haven’t noticed any side effects with it. For me, it helps my anxiety without making me feel like a robot (which some depression/anxiety meds did).
I have been taking it for many years. It definitely works best when you consistently take it when you wake up and then mid day. It absorbs fairly quickly and works for a shorter timespan, thus the need to take it when you’re awake. It doesn’t give me an extremely high results but it can definitely take the edge off of my anxiety. Hope this helped!
