Hey everyone, I have endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, over active bladder, pelvic floor disorder and fibromyalgia plus a few other things. I’ve had a laparoscopy and cystoscopy, hydrodistention of the bladder. I’ve done a bunch of other treatments, physical therapy and medications. Has anyone else experienced any of these things? How do you survive dealing with these problems? I’m barely staying afloat. I’m also wondering if anyone’s been on two birth controls at the same time? If so, what was your experience like? I have two birth controls nexplanon and the IUD.

Hi! I have literally every one of those conditions so I’m happy to talk more if you want! Who did you have a laparoscopy with, were they an endo or pelvic pain expert? Or your normal gyn? Cystoscopy did nothing for me sadly. Physical therapy took four years to work for me so definitely keep going with it if it hasn’t been too long and switch around if your person isn’t helping! It took finding the right PT to help me. For the IC, have you tried aloe Vera? It made a world of difference for me! I also like prelief, hydroxyzine, and Myrbetriq. I have no idea how I survive it, these issues really suck. I start my first full time semester of school in three years tomorrow, so hopefully I manage. I have also done two birth controls at a time! I would recommend finding one that works for you instead. I recommend something without estrogen because of the endo! I did iud and an oral contraceptive and nothing went wrong but it was just hard to tell what was working and it was a lot for the emotions. Feel free to message me any time I have so much more I could share :)

@Belugabear A gynecologist did my surgery. Unfortunately it wasn’t a good experience, I don’t go to them anymore. I was desperate at the time, I had been on another long period and things were very bad. I switch to new doctors after the laparoscopy. The hydrodistention of the bladder helped a bit. My doctor told me I’ll probably have to do that once a year. I liked my physical therapist, she was helpful. My insurance only covered for a short period of time. I was actually told to try out aloe vera. I’ve only drank it a couple of times. I’m not sure what would be a better option a drink or capsules? How do you consume it? I take all three of those. Hydroxyzine changed a lot for me and I feel like it helped me the most so far. I agree it’s honestly an every day struggle for me.I’ve tried most birth controls and none of them worked for me had many problems. Except for the ones that I’m on, the nexplanon wasn’t enough so they added the IUD. Yes I’m way to emotional. I’m having a hard time dealing with it. I am bleeding the least I ever have and that’s why my doctors are encouraging me to stay on both. Honestly I’m not sure what I want to do cause I’ve try so many things already that have failed kinda hitting a wall. I would definitely like to talk more that would be wonderful!
