I had a recent visit to my endocrinologist and asked her what could I do to gain weight….she told me my thyroid levels were as perfect as they could get and if I wanted to gain she could change my milligrams on my medication which would throw my levels out of wack. She mentioned she didn’t want to do that, so I guess I’m just stuck with not being able to gain. I also have a newborn so maybe it’s just stress🤷‍♀️

For me it's harder to lose than gain. I don't have the best of diets right now because of my living situation.

If my meds are off I tend to gain weight, otherwise I just maintain. I'm also going through menopause which makes losing weight a little harder.

      No appetite. Levothyroxine side effects?

I can't lose it! Driving me crazy! My medication is supposedly one that is going to curb my appetite. I'm still waiting. I feel like I'm constantly either gaining or losing, but mostly gaining. I thought meds were supposed to help balance a whole mess of symptoms but I don't feel like it's doing anything and I've been on it for 2 years. I had a blood panel done maybe 6 months ago and the doctor wanted to keep me on the same meds because it was helping...I'm so confused!

I've been diagnosed with pendulum ing hashimotos and graves disease . The go back and forth. I also have thyroid eye disease. Apparently it's rare, with the having both diseases. I didn't get the skinny part with the Graves disease. My meds don't work and I'm worried that I got diabetes from my medication. I'm super sick all the time,I don't have any energy ever. Finding an endo doctor that k knows how to address these diseases is impossible it seems. Sorry to sound so negative but I'm super scared it's going to cause me to die. I would love to find a clinical trial anyone ever hear of this?

I gain a few pounds but then lose it so quickly. Hard to gain and keep it on

@MiaMama same here and I’m not sure why that is….mostly everyone I know who is hypothyroidism has trouble losing weight, but it’s completely opposite for me.
