I am seeing a RA doctor finally after two years of telling my doctor I have so much pain. What should I expect? What questions should I ask? I have learned you have to be an advocate for yourself in every way when it comes to our health system.

What I have found is that there's almost no way to speak to allot of dr.s involved with anything pain related. I live in an area where the Opiate boom has effected the quality of care given. Drs are so afraid of the DEA redflagging their pain patients because they think Chronic Pain can be treated with Tylenol, and if we need Opiates for pain we are drug seekers. Pretty much what I'm trying to say is make sure your dr.s fears won't get in the way of what's needed for proper treatment.
