Has anyone tried acupuncture/acupressure/any other holistic pain remedies? Did they work? Spill all the tea!

Acupuncture gave me panic attacks without helping my pain. Some people swear by it, but it just wasn’t for me! I see a functional medicine doctor who I have been going to for about six months without improvement yet, but again some people love it. I was told to try the paleo diet and my mom joined me, it totally got rid of her pain but mine was untouched. I’m now trying supplements to see how that goes instead!

It's very relaxing but my insurance didn't pay so I couldn't afford to go consistently

I also tried it with no improvement.

It helped my chronic sinusitis but made my back pain so much worse. It was really draining and I’d have emotional reactions. Apparently that’s common (emotional reaction and tiredness after). Also the guy my insurance referred me to didn’t speak much English so he didn’t understand me telling him that it was increasing the pain in my back and to try it differently. So I stopped. I was more sore, in pain, and tired for a few days after. I did about 10 treatments before I decided it wasn’t for me if the guy couldn’t adjust so I didn’t feel wrecked after. Haven’t tried again. Similar experience with chiropractic… helped other areas but consistently made my lower back (the actual problem) worse.

I tried it and I saw no improvement but everybody is different so it might work for you.

Honestly I tried it and it didn’t really help me much. Massage is much better for temporary pain relief.

This is actually something I've been very curious about too!
