do you ever have difficulty setting boundaries with anxiety around friends? i cancelled on an event because i had a really rough anxiety day and my friend really didn’t understand. it’s hard because i tend to hide my anxiety around others even when i’m uncomfortable or invalidate my feelings, and i feel really guilty about cancelling even though i know i have real reasons.
Understanding anxiety when you don't have it can be challenging. I like to tell people for me it's like everyone's looking at me and talking about me. Or it could be you're trapped in a loop. There's many ways you can tell people about your anxiety without having to go fully in depth, it's also always good to keep boundaries.
True friends will understand your anxiety. I have anxiety and will take several days to respond to my friends and they always ate accepting of it. They know I'm under a lot of pressure so they give me a break. I hope you can find supportive friends!
