I really struggle to hold a job with borderline personality disorder. I exceed expectations everywhere, but my attendance is always a big problem. I try to just "show up", but it's not always that easily said and done. Any tips?

Ugh. My ADD and idiopathic hypersomnia make attendance hell for me too. If you can get a doctor to help you (and you live in the United States,) you can request reasonable accommodations under the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act.) Talk to your boss or HR department about that process - they usually have you and your doctor fill out a form and then after that you can't be fired or disciplined for your attendance, within reason - for me and my company, within reason is less than 15 minutes late (I'm usually just 1-3 minutes late to be honest.) Hope that helps!

Mine does too and I'm honestly thinking about leaving the job where I work now and going to this new place opening next month because one of my friends is owner of the store and I talked to her about it and she said she'd hire me because she knew I was a hard worker and all from a previous job where we worked together and she was a manager there. I just think the job I work now doesn't give a shit about me *sorry for the language* but they truly don't because they are always trying to schedule me for full time hours with my condition and they get so bent out of shape when they know I can't be there longer than I'm supposed to

You are not alone. I was calling in so often I felt it wasnt even worth it to have the job and quit. But I mean for me that was an option I had because I was just working for extra cash anyway and we really needed me at home with the kids. We couldn't afford daycare. I think you should follow reddest's advice. That seems pretty solid to me
