seperation anxiety anyone? I feel so alone, I can't find ANYTHING to help it because I'm not a child or a pet. (lol). I'm a grown woman with adult seperation anxiety. even my therapist doesn't know much about it. I've dealt with this since I was 7, and it's only gotten worse as I've grown older because I know my time with my loved ones are short. it's never long enough.

i definitely relate to this I had intense separation anxiety as a kid/teen and still struggle with it occasionally now but definitely not to the extent i used to… no advice for this though bc i just traded it for social anxiety :) sending good vibes ur way

I feel this so much. With me i have a bag that i take to work, and i keep a small stuffed animal in it that way if i start feeling bad or missing my partner, i can take it out and hold it. Bringing a small stuffie or a fidget toy can help keep your mind off of separation, i also can get very immersed in coloring and focused so if you hyperfixate easily, coloring could be a good distraction

Felt this and it actually makes me feel horrible. A friend I hung out with even called me "clingy" not in a horrible way or anything but more as an observation. I kept thinking about that over and over again because I suppose I am even though I try my best to not seem like it... I really don't know what to do about it as well, I'm an adult and I feel like I'm constantly tethered to my friends when I'm with them. Pulling away feels bad and being close makes me feel "clingy" which makes me feel bad as well. 😥

I feel this!!! And I’m don’t know either 🤷🏻‍♀️ Unfortunately everyone I crutched on left me or makes fun of me when I asked something I feel I need. No seems to understand. It did get better to disconnect from people more when I got a service dog tho🤔 for other things but were codependent for sure. For good or bad

@Katharina thank you for your response! Totally makes me feel less alone. I'm so glad you have found comfort I'm your service hero. Animals are a beautiful part of life. 🥰
