Nothing super effective but you can support your immune system, which needs to fight it. Eat healthy, exercise, don't smoke, don't drink, take immune support supplements.

A holistic PCP I was dating told me to take green tea extract (EGCg) and I found this study https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3315882/

I take 800 MG in the morning and 400 MG at night. I am still testing positive though. It's only been a couple months. From the study, it seems like its more to prevent cancer, not necessarily to clear the virus.

I'm sorry there aren't more things we can do. I have 18 or 45. Tested positive in October and my partner is afraid to touch me. He's also afraid of needles, so he hasn't started vaccination.

From your profile, it looks like you have had it for 3 years, is that correct?

I’m hoping my body can clear it but I’ve read 2-3 years to clear but I’m already there and no luck

I recommend your partner get the vaccine. I got mine afterwards I didn’t know there was one before I was diagnosed

Yeah, unfortunately if it takes longer than 2 years, it usually means it's a permanent part of your DNA. I believe there is a DNA test for that you can ask for. It still doesn't mean you will get cancer. Especially if you take that green tea extract and don't smoke, sounds like.

I didn't find out about the vaccine until I was too old for insurance to cover it. I have now got 2 of 3 doses so I am protected from the other strains.

He says he is working on being able to handle it, but he hasn't even been vaccinated against covid yet because of his needle trauma. That comes first...

Which is highly unnecessary. But it's his body.

I made sure I got my son vaccinated and he’s only 11

They actually include it with his other shots. I wished I had done the same but I was in another country at the time

I’ve had abnormal smears for 3 years but negative for cancer 🙏 so hopefully that continues. I’m just worried the longer it lives on the body the more of a chance

One thing I want to ask my doctor is if I wanna have another child will the hpv be passed to them?

it's highly unlikely but its possible. They say that almost all babies clear out the virus on their own too They haven't studied whether these babies, who are infected when they are born, have the virus reactivated later on in life. I was diagnosed with HPV before having any kind of sexual experience with anyone and truly believe i got it from my mom and the virus activated itself when i was 14.

So I’ll see what she says in June

As far as I know, yes it might be passed to the baby during vaginal birth. You could have a c-section to prevent this.

Thank you for getting your son vaccinated. It's so frustrating that there is no test for men. I also get upset that some parents refuse the vaccine because they don't think their kids will have sex. That's what my mom did. I finally told her that she endangered me with her prudish thinking. She apologized and said, "I didn't know you'd be SO sexually active". I told her it doesn't matter and that she has probably had it too.

I wish I had known about the vaccine when I was younger too. It would have saved a lot of this worrying but it’s not point obsessing over the past and we just gotta look forward to the present and do our best at staying healthy.

I agree! And I try to tell young people (when appropriate) about the vaccine.
