I've had IBS since I was 19 and I am now 26. "Better" isn't a good word but I have been able to avoid my highest problem foods but it is so many things that I also have to plan to indulge myself in the foods I miss.

basically all foods are triggers for me except light fruits like watermelon… it’s really invalidating when i try to ask for help with my symptoms because “it’s just a stomach ache.” the symptoms are sometimes unbearable. i hope you’re doing ok with it!

Wait a second, is that why I feel like garbage late at night?!
Mine usually hits at night. I get really gassy which is embarrassing and awful and then I’ll just be up trying to poo for hours :( you’re not alone!
i’ve gone my whole life with having constant stomach and GI issues, and it was so validating to find out i have IBS and am not just dramatic or something. my main triggers are definitely gluten, dairy, tomatoes, apples, and chocolate. honestly i feel like nobody talks about how exhausting it is to be constantly trying to find food that won’t make you sick, it’s always on my mind, and even though i found some staples it’s so hard to be constantly surrounded by people who can eat whatever they want without worrying about the effects

I'm genuinely scared to try to find out my food triggers. I know spicy and super greasy food are an immediate problem, but I know that I have more.
Yeah some days I am completely fine and other days I am miserable. The only thing I know my gut doesn’t like is heavily fried foods.
Hi! I’m glad you are here! For me, I have tons of food triggers and it’s really exhausting trying to keep up with what foods do what to me and even if I do everything right I can still get symptoms. Rarely do I have a day without symptoms and it’s painfully exhausting. I’m still learning about it though as I was recently diagnosed after years of suffering
For me, its comes at random. There will be days where my stomach hurts so much that I sweat and can't eat and days that are like I don't even have IBS
