I feel like no one understands that healing of a emotional abusive relationship is so hard. For me its hard because it could have ended my life.He went and vaped alot with my friends after he lost his mom he even got behind the wheel high . Before he would vape he would He yell at me saying I haven't been there of him and say I'm going to vape .I tried my best I was 17 he was 19.It was scary because I knew that when we moved in together to get in the car with him no matter how high he was.

I understand this. I have been in a similar situation. An ex used to smoke a lot of weed, sometimes do other drugs, and sometimes drink then get behind the wheel. I don't know how many times my life was in danger and sadly these weren't the worst she did to me. It's almost been a decade and I am newly married. I have told them so many "lovely" stories about that ex and others. Sometimes we can joke about it and others we don't talk about unless we have to. Scars are terrible but some peel off. I would talk to a therapist or a counselor. Processing this trauma is hard and talking to a professional would be a tremendous help. I didn't have that option. Also, there are support groups and reddits at least to not feel alone because you're not.

My extreme emotional abuse relationship ended almost 10 years ago, yet it still feels like yesterday and has affected me until this day. Not to mention family relationships of emotional and physical abuse šŸ„² BUT, just know you're not alone here. I've been through an almost life-ending event with my current boyfriend, so please feel free to message me if you ever need a friend or just someone to talk to. Emotional abuse is extremely hard to heal from. Also, idk if it's a possibility, but maybe look into a therapist? I've always heard talking and getting it off your chest is good for your healing.
